An interactive workshop on how the engineering industry can manage sustainability

An immersive and constructive morning was had with our client Royal Opera House, who hosted an interactive Suppliers Sustainability Workshop in the Linbury Foyer of their impressive Covent Garden premises.

Topics discussed included the challenges of being sustainable in this industry, the ways in which we are offsetting our carbon footprints and – with more and more clients requesting evidence of net-zero plans – what roadmaps suppliers can produce to showcase their sustainability strategies. RJ Power is committed to the carbon reduction targets we have set, with emissions monitored on a month-by-month basis and business initiatives reflecting the due diligence to reduce carbon emissions where practicable.

Our overall strategy is to align with the UK-proposed net-zero target of 2050. Huge thanks to Environmental Manager Rachael O’Sullivan and her colleagues at the Royal Ballet & Opera House for bringing everyone together to discuss this complex yet crucial topic; the team were incredibly engaging and we left with much food for thought. RJ Power look forward to attending more workshops in the future.
