As a business, RJ Power has reduced carbon emissions by 4% year-on-year between 2023/’24. We look to develop further initiatives as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by reducing CO emissions through the development and replanting of sustainable forests (tree-planting). We also closely monitor our carbon footprint on a monthly basis, in line with the UK Government’s Net Zero 2050 strategy. The business utilises the Supply Chain Sustainability School and Bath University Carbon Calculator tools.
We work closely with all stakeholders to investigate positive steps to avoid environmental damage, such as the selection of sustainable materials, recycling materials, avoidance of air and noise pollution and reducing the carbon footprint of material deliveries.
In addition, RJ Power has invested in the procurement of two electric vehicles to reduce carbon emissions and fuel costs, initiating a cleaner approach to sustainability within the provisions of transport.
