EXPERIENCE

  • Possess at least a Level 3 electrical qualification eg City & Guilds, ONC etc
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel
  • Experience in working within a busy office environment
  • Experience with dealing with both internal and external customers
  • Experience in working to deadlines and prioritising own workload
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and respond to changing demands

Job description

  • Build and retain positive and trusting relationships with prospective, new and existing clients
  • Complete detailed sales visits and surveys to support the production of detailed and accurate quotes and handover of technical information to the Operations team
  • Complete PQQ’s, tenders and quotes
  • Respond to and manage enquiries relating to the above
  • Liaise with the Procurement and Asset Administrator and approved suppliers to ensure we always obtain competitive quotes and excellent service from our supply chain
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Operations Manager to appropriately direct resources and effectively plan for future requirements
  • Work with the Networks Operations Support Manager to ensure the accurate collection of all client-related information, so it is handed over effectively and is accessible to all relevant parties
  • Follow up on sales leads
  • Liaise with the Networks Administration team to ensure the admin needs of the Business Development team are always covered, including periods of annual leave
  • Work as a key member of the Networks Business Development team, learning and developing from the existing members of the team as part of the department’s succession plan
  • Any other reasonable administrative and ad-hoc duties as requested by the line manager
